On March 31, United States Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40th District) visited the Hollywood Bed Frame Company in Commerce, CA. The Congresswoman was interested to learn more about Hollywood Bed, particularly as their growth has resulted in creating a significant number of new manufacturing jobs in her district. Larry Harrow, the company’s CEO, and Jason Harrow, the company’s president, accompanied the Congresswoman on a tour of their factory and discussed the company’s success in growing its U.S. manufacturing. In the past year, Hollywood Bed has more than doubled its workforce at its Commerce plant.
Congresswoman Roybal-Allard said, “I thank Larry and Jason Harrow for taking the time to show me their 90-year-old family business, and for talking with me about ways to bolster American manufacturing. It’s so important that we maintain a strong manufacturing base in California’s 40th Congressional District, and bring American jobs back to the U.S. That’s why I support legislative efforts such as the “Make it in America” plan to foster American manufacturing growth by promoting U.S. exports, encouraging businesses to bring jobs to America, and training America’s workers to meet the demands of the 21st century economy.”
Jason Harrow said, “Hollywood Bed has always been committed to manufacture in the United States and will continue to foster U.S. manufacturing in the future. We are thrilled to be able to grow our business and at the same time expand jobs in our community. We appreciate our customers who recognize the value we provide and support us in expanding U.S. manufacturing.”
